Trust in the Lord and He will provide!

So today I went to officially register our trip as an internship with the accounting department at school.  After talking with the professor for a while, we went to the main office.  Once we got there, he introduced me to the chairperson of our department.  After hearing about the work we will be doing in Kenya, she showed an interest in contributing to the trip.  This being a person I just met and knew so little about me, yet has such a heart to help.  If it were not for people like this, mission work would be very difficult to do.  Who knew that a day of studying would turn into an opportunity to spread the word, and meet people who understand and appreciate what we are doing, and contribute to our trip?

It is amazing that we have not even left yet, and we are learning and experiencing in real life how God will provide.  We have had many times in the last several months where we find ourselves discouraged, especially me who has not grown up on the mission field.  I have learned a VERY important lesson througout this process, if you trust in the Lord, He will provide.  For many people, this is the hardest thing they will ever do in their life.  This is a lesson you always hear growing up, but you never really understand the seriousness until you are going through a hard time.

We appreciate all the prayers for the support to come in and allow us to go, if this is God's plan for us.  Although we still have a lot of funds to raise in the coming weeks, we have faith that our God will provide. We invite you all to join us in this missions experience, whether you are able to contribute financially or in prayers.
